Stagyar
The first stagyar was formed when goddess Nobeskhet placed her eyes in a turbulent desert. With newly gained sight, the desert’s sand became aware. It grew fascinated by various humanoids, but sensed their uneasiness towards itself. The sand shifted, slowly but surely formed a vaguely anthropomorphic form and started communicating with people. Yet they didn’t trust a creature who used to consume everyone stepping close.
With deep sorrow it started talking to the surrounding air. For the first time the sand spoke its name, Rakheem, voiced how everything has a name they must discover and he would gladly assist them on the journey. A piece of air was intrigued by Rakheem’s tale, realized its name to be Nurarin and reshaped herself into a humanoid body. The two helped pieces of earth, air, water, fire and lightning gain consciousness, as their numbers grew, all agreed to a collective name – Stagyar.
Stagyars formed a vast oasis in the desert’s center, aided each other in finding their individual names, reshaped the bodies into the most comfortable forms, practiced magic, told their experiences and feelings before awareness. Some gained self in far away lands, but all were drawn to Rakheem.
Along the journey, Rakheem and Nurarin fell in love and had children. Each was a stagyar not seen before: light, dark, crystal and nothingness. They became known as the Rare Stagyars. Only one pure rare can exist per type at any given time. When one of the Rares dies, the same type is immediately born elsewhere.
At first, stagyars had considerably longer lifespans. As their numbers grew, the elements dispersed, shortening the individual’s time. Upon death, a stagyar’s body crumbles and rejoins nature.

The Whitestone
Rakheem realized how any sapient being had a potential for depravity. Stagyars’ near invulnerability could endanger other races. Rakheem and every type of stagyar created renewable stones able to directly harm the elemental form or bind a stagyar to their fleshy body, while dampening their magic. The Whitestones were spread throughout Ayonerra, but Rakheem didn’t desire his children to be completely defenceless, thus the stones were limited and became a valuable resource.
