Lodavel - God of Justice

Unwavering, unflinching, resolute - All good terms to describe Lodavel, the divine embodiment of Law, Justice, and Honor. Often he is prayed to by those who value order above all else, and by those seeking to fight against the chaos of the world.   Never seen unless clad in a full set of hulking armor, no one can truly confirm or deny Lodavel's actual gender, race, or even species, which, ironically can lead to some chaotic discussions on who Lodavel really is. The only slight indicator is a booming, deep voice that would lean towards a more masculine origin, but even the hardest of skeptics aren't sure if it's not just a female using divine powers to mask her tone, or just a trick of the armor/divinity causing a woman to sound more masculine. Regardless, a majority refer to Lodavel as a 'he', and the most devout will state that gender or race doesn't matter, and instead just the upholding of law, order, and all things righteous.   Lodavel is also known for lacking a sense of humor or wit, almost to comical levels. Tales will cite that they view idioms as 'Improper use of words' and often escalations will occur from a blatant misunderstanding.
An excerpt from a book involving the Gods.
Lodavel paused, a thick gauntlet covered hand rubbing at his plate bevor. He responded after the silence,   "Ciel informed me badgers come from goblins who mate with a housecat...But why aren't they green?"   His confusion was thick in his deep, bellowing voice, yet Tiamera clasped at her pursed lips to keep from laughing, face reddening from the impressive stifling. After a moment of calming herself, she responded,   "Lodavel, I think she was just pulling your leg."   A long and heavy pause rose in the air...The mammoth of an armor clad knight giving a rooted grunt as he stood and clasped his massive ax propped upon the table next to him.   "Where are you going?"   Tiamera questioned as he towered above her, seeming to dismiss her with his thudding boot steps towards the door. With a sober tone, he spoke,   "To tell her to unhand my leg this instant!" -A Bard's Guide to the Gods

Physical Description

Apparel & Accessories

Lodavel is defined by their armor, which they are never seen outside of, as well as an equally hulking weapon. While depictions of the armor and weapon change, depictions, like the deity, follow a set strict of rules.
LodavelExample
Lodavel must:
  • Be pictured in full, heavy, light colored (Usually grays or whites) plate armor.
  • Not be able to be seen under the armor...Even a sliver of skin.
  • Have a large weapon or shield, generally in grandiose sizes.
  • Have a very uniform appearance. Spikes, skulls, or other evil nods are not acceptable.
  • Be large in size, often with a commanding and awe inspiring presence.

Commonly he is depicted either commanding legions of equally clad soldiers or fighting against chaos and aberrations. While Solisius - God of the Sun may inspire heroism and glory through solo navigated trials, Lodavel is often seen as the triumph of unity and order.
