Elves

  Elves are one of the most prominent races in axil as they control the trade throughout the continent. Most races speak elvish alongside common and their own language in order to trade effectively. Elves have many ethnicities and variations within their species as there were many kindgoms of elves who ruled most of axil under the guidance of their gods, great leaders and military might.  

Ethnicities

 

City elves

  City elves or high elves or Cithal elves are elves who quickly banded together to form cities and rarely leave them, they enjoy learning and educating themselves, they enjoy and do well with the city life, High elves commonly become wizards or practitioners of the arcane as well as other things. Cithal elves is where the word city comes from, as they can be very social and or dependent on others. High elves are inventors and wonderful Craftsmen. in recent modern years they were commonly found in the country of Rokezia   As a subrace of elf, City Elves gain the following traits   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100, and can live to be 750 years old.   Size: Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.   Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.   Darkvision: Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.   Fey Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.   Trance: Elves do not sleep. Instead they meditate deeply, remaining semi-conscious, for 4 hours a day. The Common word for this meditation is "trance". While meditating, you dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive after years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit a human would from 8 hours of sleep.   Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Elven.   High Elves also gain   Ability Score Increase: Your Intelligence score increases by 1.   Elf Weapon Training: You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.   Cantrip: You know one cantrip of your choice from the wizard list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it.   Extra Language: You can read, speak, and write one additional language of your choice.  

Dark elves

  Dark elves are elves who many years ago explored and began living in the dark, Ever changing underdark. Their move into the abyss of the Earth changed them and their elven biology, they were brought into the underdark because of godly fights and fights between the Drithkar (Dark elves) and the Srethmi (Sun elves). Dark elves live in a very cut throat backstabbing enviroment. anyone will do anything to get into power. The society's laws are based around people who get caught trying to gain power as the rule for the Dark elves is "as long as you arent caught you didnt do anything". The things that bind the society is the thought that Dark elves are better than all other races something they are taught from birth. Slaves are one of the few things that are consistant in this society, working fugi fields and taking care of cattle, Dark elves do not make many friends and nearly refuse love although marriages are made to rise in ranks or make life live able   Dark elves are commonly a dark greenish, blackish or purplish color,   As a subrace of elf Dark elves gain the following traits   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast faerie fire once, and it recharges after a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast darkness once, and it recharges after a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.   Dark elves Weapon Training: You have proficiency with rapiers, shortswords, and hand crossbows.  

Deep Sea Elves

  these are elves that come from Marilth the elven nation that lives in the arctic waters north of Axil creating settlements along geothermal vents. They have blue-green-purple range of color, fins and gills. they have many different variations in the way they look as their environment causes a lot of mutations. In the modern day they do not have many settlement locations beyond a few tribes throughput the seas or even living on the land in a slow stressful lifestyle   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. Eladrin

 

Elorc's

  Elorcs known by their name are Half-elf Half-orc, An odd combination to outsiders but to the elven nations they are deemed by all peoples in power as the best and most powerful elves. They are some of the strongest, most agile and intelligent beings to walk. Now results do very from person to person but elven society has placed it that these are to be some of the most looked up to individuals in elven culture. Elorcs commonly serve influential positions in government and governmental programs. They can also be seen in higher places in business. Although the history to them is odd because no one quite knows what an "orc" is not even the elorcs them selves, So when depicted they are shown as Beautiful strong individuals with a green, or blue tinge to their skin, Something that most people will gauk at.. For many reasons. But the breeding with these "orcs" is interesting as there is a many year wating process to encounter one in a very secure facility under which many tests are done and many spells are cast before your interaction with them which only lasts a day or more but the total time between ariving and leaving is a good 3-4 weeks and so only richer families can undergo this. The down side is that an elorc either has a missing mother or father of which is an orc. The Elves have deemed the orcs so wonderful that if they were to be released into common society it would fall apart due to their tremendous overpowering traits. And thus Elorcs are a bit of a mystery but are very respected and very much like better elves   All Elorcs Gain Speed your speed is 30   Darkvison Between the elves and the orcs you gain dark vision   Trance Your elven ancestor makes you only require 4 hours of rest for a long rest   there are many variation of Elorcs and so they gain three of the below traits   Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.   Fey Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.   Savage Attacks. When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice one additional time and add it lo lhe extra damage of lhe criticaI hit.   Relentless Endurance. When you are reduced to O hit points but not killed outright. you can drop to I hit point instead. Vou can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.   Menacing. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill.   Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.  

Moon elves

  Moon elves other wise known as the Lathati or ice elves, come from north regions/colder regions in the world and have adapated to colder climates. being in colder climates this required much more closer living and a higher dependence on other individuals for living, magic is a near necessity for their living but with life being more barren in colder environments druidic magic is used to help produce/grow life and wild life and to feed or warm the people. The true struggles and strife with the moon elves is the environment. The environment is truly their main competitor, to fight the land around them raiding and plundering local areas to help the society stay afloat is common place (think vikings)   have pale Bluish skin, hair that is silvery white or with any shade of blue, eyes are green or blue with gold flakes     The traits of a moon elf are   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. Sea elves

 

Shadar kai

  Shaddar kai are elves who got trapped in the shadow fell, The shadow manipulates elves into shaddar kai over long periods of time. Shaddar kai struggle with their emotions as most races do in the shadowfell. Shaddar kai do not know what to do with emotions as they have very few in the shadowfell and it takes some time outside of the shadow for their emotional range and intensity to grow, Shaddar kai follow their leader the raven queen       The traits shaddar-kai gain are   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100, and can live to be 750 years old.   Size: Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Starting at 3rd level, you also gain resistance to all damage when you teleport using this trait. The resistance lasts until the start of your next turn. During that time, you appear ghostly and translucent.  

Sun elves

  Sun elves or Srethmi are elves of the desert and other hot climates. (persians)   Sun Elves have bronze skin, eyes are black are metallic gold or silver, Hair is black, metallic, copper, or silver   As a subrace of elf Sun Elves gain the following traits   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.   Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100, and can live to be 750 years old.   Size: Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds.
