Evaderen

Overview

The Evaderen is a culture of mortals who live in the northeast of Valothmir. They are completely isolated from the rest of the world and chose to remain as such. The Evaderen are nomadic folk, living off the land moving around the north-east based on the seasons. During the winter they head further south nearing the borders of civilisation. Only during this time have communication attempts been able to succeed.

Survival

Very little is known about how the Evadern survive in the inhospitable region because whilst the flora is plentiful the creatures are known as the most dangerous in Valothmir, Some speculate even the world. Reports from the two groups that have interacted with the Evaderen suggest that they have somehow bonded with the wildlife. Some of the dangerous creatures of the northeast were seen casually walking through camp alongside the Evaderen.

History

During the Ven era, a large group of mortals managed to escape from the Veldren living in what is now called the Imperium's Grasp. They fled from their rulers into the northeast of Valothmir as they knew the veldren would not follow. The area was and is still known for its dangerous and unusual beasts. Up until the mortal era it was assumed they had been killed by the native creatures but in 1500 M.E an adventuring group made their way into the northeast in an attempt to map the area. Of the five people who went in, only two came back. They claim to have met the Evaderen and were met aggressively after attempting to negotiate exploration of the area. However, the lives lost were due to the native creatures, not the Evaderen. Ever since there have been two more attempts at making negotiations, however, the first never made it to the Evaderen and the second was immediately shooed off.
