Overview

One of the youngest daughters of the powerful Mabara family, Sara Mabara dresses like any Centrum merchant, displays the same social graces of any Centrum merchant, and participates in formal guild meetings like any Centrum merchant. She does everything expected of her when under the public eye. This rigid adherence to social protocol as well as giving a business family hierarchy its due respect makes her an unusually innocuous presence. In fact, the act seems a little too perfect. She appears to lack the ruthless ambition that defines other members of her family. Some find this endearing, others find it suspicious, and still others find it merely perplexing. It is even stranger when one considers that she displays all the markers of a prodigy according to her private tutors. This has led some to wonder: Does Sara prefer the simpler pleasures of life in spite of her talents? Or is she playing a game few can fathom?

Behind the Mask

Sara does not hold any official title that would directly grant her power in an official capacity. This appears to be irrelevant to Sara considering that she is comfortable with appearing to be lesser to her siblings. As such she is rarely seen as a threat, and this perhaps is a clue to her true nature.
Those who know Sara recall her uncanny ability to perceive the desires of others and that she speaks with the voice likened to that of a siren's song (Sara sings occasionally). With these abilities she has demonstrated an ability to convey messages between parties especially when those parties are hostile towards each other. In other words, Sara often plays the role of negotiator and peacemaker. Many find themselves indebted to her in some capacity and this is where the theories surrounding her begin.

They say that Sara has been secretly amassing a vast fortune through cashing in on her many favors. As she consistently demonstrates her sweet demeanor and apparent naivety to the public eye many would forget that they are talking to someone born in the historically ruthless Mabara family.

Beyond the Guild

It is suggested that Sara leverages her unique position in the social fabric of Centrum to encourage outcomes that ultimately benefit her interests. Sara may have had a hand in encourage animosity between the Queendom of Lunaria and the Kingdom of Helia. When those two powers engage in battle, the one who can sell weapons and equipment will become rich beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Of course, the one who can broker peace between the warring countries could gain something far more valuable: a favor from each of the continent's most powerful monarchs.


Of course, this is all conjecture. It is entirely possible that she merely enjoys the simple things in life much to the chagrin of her ambitious parents.
