Maeha's Letter
It is commonly believed that if that letter hadn't reached the Queen then Lunaria would have been conquered. I think its role was to mitigate the damage, and that Lunaria would not have been conquered completely.
Overview
Whether it was a stroke of luck, or the outcome of prudent planning, it is clear that t this letter allowed Lunaria to mount a successful defense of the Fractured Coast as soon as it did.The Story
The letter was carried by Maeha, a scout for the Lunarian Army, from the The Golden Plain all the way to the Silver City of Luna. Maeha had been part of a scouting party whose charge it was to spy on Helian troop movements. When they noticed a legion heading for the Lunarian border at the Fractured Coast they sent their fastest runner, Maeha, with a message detailing their observations. When the Queen and her Generals had received this letter, she mustered her forces at once. When the battle was won, Maeha received top honors for swiftly bringing the message as soon as she had. She also received a promotion to Captain. The rest of Maeha's scouting party received honors posthumously. They were discovered by one of Helia's own scouting party and were unable to reach the border before being captured and sentenced to death.
