Landscaping
How often does one think about the effort that goes into making a lawn that is pleasing to the eye?
Overview
Wealthy locations usually have a garden in front or confined within a courtyard. Other places simply tailor their land not strictly to the design of a garden, but some other pleasing collection of plants, grasses, rocks, or other natural decoration. These fall under the broader term of "landscapes." Whatever the arrangement, landscapes are often the crucial final touches to any living and public spaces. Some landscapes are designed to impress and to show off the wealth and reach of the individual or organization. Other kinds of landscapes are simply there to be quite and comfortable places of contemplation. Still others are the works of artists trying to instill a place with meaning of their designs. This last kind is truly a rarity, with perhaps the best example being the hidden gardens of the Söngleikur Forest.Note(s) from the Archivists:
