The Giant's Bones Cliffs

On the eastern edge of the peninsula, home of the Far Plains of Ildonia there are daunting cliffs filled with drake nests and sea-touched coastal caves. As the grass transitions to sand and stone the sheer cliff drops hundreds of meters into the ocean. Daring climbers or sailors can explore further but most write the cliffs off as a death sentence.   Upon closer exploration the cliffs appear to be home to swaths of drakes, kobolds, and even some remote dragonkin families. They are winding and naturally hewn for the most part with occasional rudimentary camps for the local sentient races. Lizard folk raiders and pirates occasionally come to capture or exploit the locals or bury their treasures but more than one ship has sunk among "The Bones".   Deeper into the caves explorers might find a desperate cult of Dragonkin and Kobolds. They have a deep belief that a dragon and not the halflings slew the giant of long ago and that its souls can be found and used to re-establish their might. There is little evidence to support this but they continue to search none the less and over the years have established a ritual circle and stone statue of their deceased dragon god. Its lacks craftsmanship but its intimidating presence looms over their shabby home in the caves.   The myth surrounding the cliffs is that during the world's making a sea giant in their old age got ambitious and tried to expand their domain into the domain of the gods. In their attempt they were slain by the halfings of the grasslands in an epic war. Upon their death the giant tore a mass of land away from the grasslands and fell into the ocean. Their bones are said to have formed the jagged spines below the cliff and their soul became a gem of the ocean horded into the caves by a long dead dragon, now lost to the peoples of the realm.
