Spectrum Cart

The Spectrum cart is not a publicly owned vehicle, but is a peddlers cart owned predominantly pseudo healers that treat sadness and depression. The cart in hung with strings and string of gemstones that are known to increase happiness. Many people are afraid of the effect the cart has, as it can increase happiness to a state of careless euphoria. These carts travel through towns about three times a year and announce themselves with the sound of jingling from all the stones knocking together.

The have earned the title of 'Spectrum Carts' for the colors of the stones and the way the lights catch the quartz. There is a growing resentment towards the peddlers as society has recognized that the happiness induced is superficial and not at all indicative of natural emotional healing. The peddlers main customers tend to be the desperate, bereft and misunderstood. Parents of unhappy children try to keep then from the carts as they are afraid that they will be lured away. This not an uncommon occurrence, and at least two or three towns people leave with each visit.  

Propulsion

Pulled by animals. Four or five miniature vehicles are hand pushed, but these are usually lone peddlers with no crew or appentice.

Complement / Crew

Usually a peddler, Healer and apprentices. Have a reputation for being unhinged due to the effect of the gems. Despite their constant joy, they have dark personalities that are only eclipsed by the synthetic joy.
