General Summary

The Chinook prepared to take off, giving the people close by a chance to distract it. Sadly, all their efforts were in vain. Suiv being told he was seen, circled near the top, while the others flew straight down hiding behind the spire. When the Chinook got close he circled around and jump towards the spire, wildshaping into a spider. The summoned giant owl was killed by the Chinook in one attack.
At the bottom, the others had jumped off their owls and tried to hide under a 5-ft stone roof Purah created with her Mold Earth cantrip. It was tight, too tight. The owls scattering from a point focused his view and he noticed Purah preparing to make a hole to crawl in.
The Chinook rushed down while Purah, Ratchet and Flind tried to hide in a 5-ft hole that was now closed off and disguised as part of the natural rock. The Chinook is a moment of clarity noticed the unnatural pattern that the casting of the spell cast and tried to break through.
Meanwhile Sandor, Brandeth, Esseria and Goradaar had rushed towards the spire. Sandor arrived just as the Chinook broke through the stone, but decided to wait and tell the others what he saw through the earring of whisper.
The trapped trio blocked the next blow with the immovable rod. Brandeth, apparently the only one still thinking clearly at this point, told the trio to "just throw him the crystal!". They did and it caused the Chinook to leave them alone.
