Physical Description
Body Features
Short in height with a slim built. Due to training he has no belly and has a ever slightly built shoulders. His hair is short and kept in place by a bandana.
Facial Features
A slightly chunky face with a short, curved nose, slim lips, big eyes, and ears, and thick brows that threat to become one.
Identifying Characteristics
A large birthmark in the left elbow, reddish in color.
Physical quirks
Left-handed and constantly ticking his fingers while he deliberates. He had the habit of walking curved and looking down but that has been "fixed" in the academy, however he still finds it hard to look a person in the eyes.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears the Academy uniform with the lapels for his grade and a special pin representing his success in chess. The uniform includes a ceremonial sword.

Personal history
Mavro was born in the island of Ifasteio, on a village in Anatí, to a firebending father and a aníchyro mother. His father was in the military, like all firebenders in Spakov, which meant he never saw him much during his childhood, his mother nurtured him deeply which later, at the age of 6, led for him to be ill prepared for the schooling process.
In the first year of school, Mavro discovered he was a firebender, which meant he was transferred from the general school to a military one where he would train for the military life he was obliged to belong to. He struggled with firebending however excelled in tactic and history classes. He joined the chess club as an extra activity and was one of the five chosen to go to the "Junior Olympic Games" for chess. On the return from the "Games" he was on the ship that wrecked.
Education
From age 5 to 6 he studied in a regular Spakovian school, from 6 to 9 in the Anatí Academic Military Institute.
Accomplishments & Achievements
A great source of proud to Mavro is the fact he got chosen to be one of the chess players for Spakov in the "Junior Olympic Games".
Failures & Embarrassments
His poor firebending skills are his biggest embarrassment however is short height is also he gets quite mocked for.
Morality & Philosophy
Believer in the values of the dragons, Mavro believes that harm should be avoided but is prepared to act if the conditions ask for it. As a result many of his actions follow the philosophy of the greater good.
Taboos
It was taught to him from birth that people from USPP are nothing if cowards and fools and that they have no respect for the dragons, as a result he despises them and thinks them godless.

The older boys left the other day, they went in a hurry and I don't know where to really. They said they were following sky bison but I saw none. Without them it's hard to get the younger ones to do anything that isn't playing. I have been doing my best to hunt but it's hard to find prey.
