A Premeditated Note from the Evermind

Hello, dear purveyor of knowledge. My name is Shaija Roseborn of the Althun Archives. Also, you may have known or heard of me by my earned title of the Evermind of Avanon. Seeing as you have stumbled on this article from my personal collection of notes, I must have made a grave mistake in leaving my study unguarded, or I am dead. Whatever the circumstances may be, this tiny bit of information rests in your hands now.
The Expositors of Althun remain unaware of my private study. At least, such is my hope. To them, I extend my sincerest apologies. I have kept a secret to all of you, and especially to the Queen. I have had my reasons. The contents of the study will justify my reasons.
Just in case this note leaves this place by some small chance, I will not disclose its location specifically. After all, anyone would have trouble traversing through an endless land of dunes and raging winds.
If you do manage to find my study, I am certain you will notice the remains of a teleportation circle I have been trying to devise but found no success with. The magical energy of the nearby ziggurats posed an issue when it comes to establishing a quick channel of magic through a demi-plane meant for transporting people and objects between places. Teleportation, as I hope you are aware, is no small feat. One falsehood and you are simply obliterated. So, because of the ancient magical disturbances outside, I decided to abandon the project. If you are some kind of a filthy adventurer with an arcane expert in your midst, then take it upon yourself or selves to view this as one of your “quests”. If you can somehow get the teleportation circle functioning without any disturbance from the strange magical fields outside, then more power to you. You would grant yourself endless access to my study.
No, there is no gold in it for you, you simpletons.
Or, if you are simply pursuing deeper understands of the arcane and NOT an adventurer, then please, by all means, take advantage of my notes on portals and teleportation circles in the study. It should give you a foundation of what I discovered. You will find information that is not taught in the universities.
Actually, as I write this, I just realized something: it may be better not to spoil anything. I imagine my reputation precedes me in all corners of Evernandrum—quite possibly the whole world of Avanon. It matters not. You assume that because I am the Evermind that I may hold secrets unbeknownst to this world and because of this assumption, anyone—or everyone—will be searching desperately for my study. Whether it be the Halonian Domain, the Bhexonite Realm, or anywhere else in between, I expect a race for power will commence.
And yes, you assume correctly. Good luck, for it will not be easy.
