Rediscovering the Myths of Avanielda

The peoples of this world tell a wild profusion of myths, legend, folklore, and mysteries. And yet scholars and collectors of these tales have noted how strong are the common threads that weave throughout them all.
Now, following Feren the Scribe's discovery of the lost chronicles of Thukideris in the Great Library of Sha-El, it is possible to plumb the ancient well from which the myths of Avanielda have sprung. The manuscripts are multifarious and fragmented; how they survived the Whelming of Astarie, we know not. Many are palimpsests, which required laborious rescension. Nonetheless, their survival in any form is a gift from the Gods. We ask blessing upon the ancient hands that did their work.
Please, gentle reader, heed these words. We, the Scholasts of the Order of Verilios, have dedicated ourselves to the task of disseminating this knowledge in the hope that it may be a panacea for these troubled times. Read and be at peace.
