Entertainment Quarter

Head south-west from Downtown across the canal and you will find yourself in the Entertainment Quarter - a vast, waterfront leisure park built only to amuse and entertain.
By day it's a welcoming tourist haven, with thousands of people passing through the area every day to see the myriad of sights and sounds the city has to offer.
But at night, the monster stirs. It shakes off the cobwebs anew and lurches slowly out of its torpidity. The restaurants spring to life first: all the fancy hotspots and slick, upscale foodie porn dining experiences shepherded by celebrity chefs. Next are the dance spots, strip joints and sex clubs, opening around nine. Neon lights wink to garish life, a dull gut-thumping bass that can be felt on the sidewalk a block away, and cars and limos pulling up to broken curbs.
But even then, the area doesn’t really rouse until the witching hour of midnight. That’s when the party really starts. Banging music. Dancing throngs. Money tossed at live nudes. Drugs done in bathroom stalls. Drunken brawls in back alleys. Dark deals are done over an expensive foie gras and spun sugar platter.
Come sunrise the monster slithers away back into its dark hole, waiting once more for darkness to envelop the city once more.
