Copper
The easiest to make and most prolific coin in circulation. It is the most relevant coin to the common class. Used in the purchasing of simple goods.Silver
The second easiest coin to produce with a near equivalent presence in circulation. It is the most relevant to mid-tier classes and local traders. Used in the purchasing of somewhat expensive necessities.Gold
Gold is most relevant in the coffers of the noble, rich, or mercantile of the world. Predominately used in the purchase of high-quality goods or official fees and tithes. However, most transactions that go over certain amounts are not exchanged via physical coins, rather in the forms of letters of credit, gold bars, or in some rare cases Platinum Coins.Platinum
One of the rarer metals found in the world. Used only by the wealthiest of individuals or those who wish to flaunt their wealth during large trades. Platinum is usually formed in bars and sheets, though coins are not unheard of upon request at either Guilds or Banking establishments. Used exclusively in trade for bulk purchases, or astronomical purchases.Residuum
A catalyst as much as a form of denomination. Because of its highly addictive nature, the circulation of this fine, rainbow hued powder is strictly monitored with its mining operation and purification kept secret. As such, only Guild Officials, Sanctioned Artisans, and the mysterious Memory Weavers are allowed any substantial access to the material.
