Yaruga River

The widest and longest river in the Nexus Lands, stretching over 1200 miles from its starting point in the Black Mountains to its mouth at Parsantium. The river is typically a couple of miles across with it being as much as 10 miles across at some points and its narrowest, near the beginning being only a mile across. Most of it is around 2-3 miles across. It is also deep enough to be navigable by even the largest ships.
The flow on the river is fairly consistent and calm, with only the biggest storms really affecting it.

  Yaruga River Valley

  One of the most populous areas in the Nexus Lands, with many large cities and villages. It follows the Yaruga River, from its source in the Black Mountains to its mouth in Parsantium.
  Despite being well populated most of this population live in the settlements that can be days apart from each other. So it is not uncommon to see people camping on the side of the road while between towns. About every 10 or so miles there are areas that are set up for people to camp more safely. With dedicated firepits and permanent tents for setting your tent under. As well as places for your horses and usually a well of some sort. Many of these are well maintained but not all of them. There is usually enough room at these for a few wagons of people.
  There are then some occasional traveler's settlements, these usually have an inn or two, with a basic general store.
  There are more villages and towns throughout the region than those on the map but they are all off of the main roads and rivers. And are usually just farming or fishing villages, although some things do happen there.
