It is a place shaped by a magical event, The Great Magical Awakening, that occurred about 6000 years ago. Before this time it is believed that magic was rare but now it is common place. Yet it is still mysterious, acting in ways many people, including the mages, still don't understand.
But with all of these mysteries one thing is for sure, all adventurers at some point in their career will make their way to Qi the City of Adventurers. And those that don't either died or regret it for the rest of their lives. As any adventurer knows many great adventures start in a tavern in that odd city of levels.
