Humans

The most prolific of all the Races of Light, the Humans are the glue that holds the various species of light together.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Humans are most known for their adaptability and resilience to just about anything. Where the climate is too cold or rocky for Elven settlement, Humans have a town there. Where ships sail the seas that make the Dwarves queasy just from the description, Human boats can be found fishing there. Human-run cities are some of the largest in the Omni. It makes Humans, typically and annoyingly, the political centre of most kingdoms and empires.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Humans are found anywhere where the Races of Light have found a home. As the most prolific of all the Races of Light, they can be found in almost any world, and any climate.

Average Intelligence

As individuals, most Humans display an impressive intelligence and ability to comprehend more complex or ambiguous systems. As a group Humans are paranoid idiots who regularly come to simple ethical or tactical crossroads and get it wrong every fucking time.

Civilization and Culture

History

The first known record of Humans appears in the middle of the Draconic Age, where they quickly spread to almost every known world. While specialists at nothing, the Humans were generally good at everything and were stunningly adaptable.   During the Liberation Age, Humans would lead the Races on several occasions. Several rebel armies were lead by Humans, and Humans were one of the tribes most decimated by the Age of Fire. However, by the time of the Imperial Age, even a decimated Humanity would rise to the lead of the pack.   Humans would spread across the Omni during the Imperial Age and would leave their mark on all of their neighbours. From the Great Expansion, to the Consolidation and the eventual Great Fracture; Humans were either at the forefront or having their ideas carried into it. Humans would found the Golden Empire, and then their long descendants would bring down their own creation.   As The Darkening set in with it's various purges, Humans regained their ineffable sense of independence. Religions, cults, ideologies and nations sprang up all over the Omni as the Skyfarers faded slowly. By the last days of the ships, many of the mobs that brought ruin to the Skyfarers were Humans killing other Humans. Apt.   Today, as the sun sets on an old age, the fate of Humanity across the Omni is unknown, but it will not surprise the author to discover them somewhere out there, getting it dangerously wrong while at the same time finding the absolutely right answer.

Humans are known for their average...well, everything. They're not as tall as Weres but definately taller than Dwarves. They're heavier than Elves, but lighter than Dwarves. If there are range measurements for all the Races of Light, then Humans more often than not define the mean.
