Your history teacher, who is also your aunt, has failed to tell you about The Heart of the Siren, a legendary ship captained by Ulrika Denholm and with Lucill Sage as the violinist. This is a well-known fact among pirates. You may want to consider finding a new history teacher, as Rowan should stick to teaching sailing.

Lucill's Personaly History
Lucill Sage was born on the 23rd of Arcanus, or at least that is what the note says when Paulina Sage finds her. She was left as a baby and was found by a Guardian on a mission from
The Magic Council. The Guardian, Paulina Sage, found a baby near the black market in the capital of
Giazia - EN. The Guardian took in the baby and named her Lucill Margret Sage.
Lucille grew up in
The City of Croydon with Paulina Sage, her Guardian, as her parent.
She was two years old the first time Lucill saw someone play an instrument. The Guardian found her playing the violin for Lucill when she got sad to stop her from crying. When she was five, she asked the Guardian if she could teach her how to play the instrument. The day after, the Guardian brought home a violin they had bought on the market in
The City of Croydon. From that day, they played together every day. It was their favorite thing to do together.
Lucill played the violin daily even when she started studying at
Felvale-EN. Even though she was a skilled water melend and a top student, she mainly focused on playing the violin day and night. It drove her teammates and partner that she got during the
Crystal Day ceremony, her last year at
Felvale-EN insane.
When she graduated, Lucill tried to be a part of
The Magic Council. She tried doing the missions and the daily work as a
Guardian. But for her, it was not the life she wanted.
One day, she overheard some gossip around Felvale about a pirate named Ulrika Denholm who stole an object. Lucill convinced her teammates and
The Head of The Magic Council to give her team the mission. They traveled to the capital
Kheru - EN of Neros. No one can get arrested for any crime they have committed outside of Kheru. They had heard that the captain was hiding in the capital.
The meeting of Lucill Sage and Ulrika Denholm
The first time Lucill saw Ulrika Denholm, the captain sat at one of the round tables at an inn in Kheru, listening to the bards playing and singing. To Lucill's surprise, the captain drank the Gatiro wine by herself. Lucill went to the table against her teammate's demands and talked to the young captain about her age. The smirk on the captain's face when she saw Lucill walking towards her made Lucill more curious.
"You melends can't arrest me for drinking wine," Ulrika said and raised her cup. "Maybe you should try the loud sailors at the docks. They should be arrested for the thing they call singing. It sounds like a dying animal. Compared to this, I think they are dying." Lucill tried her hardest not to laugh at the captain's words. She looked at the bards. One of them had started to sing. The captain in front of her sighed.
"Maybe they should all be arrested," Ulrika mumbled.
"What kind of music do you prefer?" Lucill asked and earned the captain's full attention again. "I mean, if you think singing sounds like torture. You must be a music expert."
The captain raised a brow and leaned closer to the blond Guardian over the Guardian." Do you play any instrument, melend?"
"The name is Lucill," Lucill said, crossing her arms. "Lucill Sage, and yes, I play the violin."
"If you are any better than the sailors at the docks and whatever this is." Ulrika waved towards the bards. "Maybe we can make a deal."
Lucill's eyes narrowed. She did not know what kind of deal the young captain meant. But maybe she could make her come willingly if she played the captain's game. It was her mission, after all, to arrest the captain in front of her. But honestly, it was because her ego was offended to be compared to drunken sailors and bards who sang out of key.
"You have a deal." Lucill stormed past teammates, mumbling under her breath, and started talking to the inn's owner, not knowing she was watched under Captain Denholm's gaze the whole time.
After she talked to the innkeeper, Lucill started to play the violin. As she began to play, she captured everyone's attention.
(Music example)
Everyone in the inn started to clap and stomp along to the beat. Lucill got the loudest applause and cheers when she finished playing. The inn owner wanted to hire her as the official bard, but Captain Denholm told the innkeeper that the bard already had a job on her ship, Siren.
That is how everything started
Lucill agreed to work on the Siren if Ulrika returned the compass she had stolen. But before they could finish their deal, the people who stole the compass arrived at the capital. The captain had to leave Kheru, but Lucill refused to leave the ship because of her mission and traveled with her. After all, she was still a Guardian on a mission. And she needed to hand over the captain to The Magic Council.
Lucill played the violin on the ship during their travels from the capital. The captain had, after all, hired her. But as soon as Lucill entered the boat, she realized after about a week that this was the life she always wanted. Not the one expected of her at The Magic Council as a Guardian.
When she met her teammates again, she told them she was leaving The Magic Council to travel around Aurin on the Siren. They thought she had gone insane, but Paulina Sage, the Guardian, supported Lucill's decision.
Lucill traveled around Aurin as the official bard and violinist at Siren. She played the violin at inns worldwide when they needed money or were undercover. She always traveled with Ulrika, even when the captain hid from the law.
Lucill deceived kings, queens, even nobles, and guardians by pretending to be someone who did not know about Ulrika's whereabouts. She could even talk her way out or play the violin to escape trouble. As a former Guardian and student at Felvale, she knows a thing or two about fighting, diplomacy, and culture to get herself out of trouble. But she also helped talk Ulrika out of trouble. No one managed to arrest them during their lifetime, at least not longer than an hour. After all, no one thought it was the bard who played the violin that helped the pirate captain steal things or getaway. (When Ulrika didn't use her compass).
Lucill's Legacy
Many legends were written about the captain of the pirates, Ulrika Denholm. But every musician around Aurin knows about Lucill Sage. She became known as
The Heart of the Siren because of her music. According to the legends and myths, Lucill was the only person Ulrika truly loved. Lucill became known as the most famous violinist of all time.
But her most famous story was about the first time she played at the inn in Kheru. She also played for a nobleman, distracted him at a feast at his castle, and helped Ulrika escape without him ever finding out—at least not until about three months later.
Many musicians named their daughters after Lucille Sage. There are even tales written down about her performances and travels. The legend says that Lucill is the creator of the song version of
A sailor's funeral as we know it today. There are also a lot of songs that she has written down that say have been inspired by her travels around Aurin with the crew on the Siren. Most of them are taught in the music classes around Aurin. And every musician knows at least one song by heart that Lucill Sage has written.
And that is how the orphan who was a Guardian became the most famous violinist and bard of all time. On one of the most famous ships and under one of the most legendary captains of Aurin's history. Become known as Lucill Sage,
The Heart of the Siren.
Just gave it the quick once over before bed tonight, so I will probably have a bit more feedback later, but you have a couple of typos that i can DM you about if you want. I will have more feedback after a more "awake" read, but always cool to see well made artbreeder portrait.
Thank you for telling me! English is not my native language, so I am sometimes unsure of the spelling of things. I have read through it again and find some typos that I have now changed, but if you find any that I have not changed or are still there, I would be very thankful if you DM me the typos.
