Auridon Isles

Auridon is the second largest island in Alinor, vanguard to mainland Tamriel. Some Altmer from the main isle accuse Auridon’s inhabitants to be barbaric and unrefined. While it might hold some truth from their perspective, Auridon is not short of wonders. A massive city built when gods warred for Nirn, Firsthold is the first true city of the elves. The landscape, while more rugged than mainland Alinor, is still heavily shaped by the Altmer who claimed it. Permeating the island are strange fauna, ancient species that can appear to be made of magic or light. These spirit-guardians of the land are known as faeries or fey and were some of the Altmer’s earliest enemies. Coasts lined with towering sea cliffs, towers, and forts, Auridon was built for war. This bleeds into the mentality of the populations in Auridon as guards, knightly orders, mercenaries, and militant cults, holy or otherwise, are found in every city and every town. Auridon is divided into three main regions(City States), from north to south: Vafe(Firsthold), Calambar(Skywatch), and Iluvamiir(Vulkhel Guard).   Auridon Isles takes place in the 4th era, same time as Skyrim, and does not require the player to be dragonborn to begin. This new lands mod is intended to be played without dependencies, for maximum compatibility. The project will feature fully voiced quests and dialogue, factions to earn standing with, followers, guilds to join and a host of new gameplay features including: sailing, underwater combat, new spells, custom weapon types and more.
