Ocrux

Summary

Ocrux is a blue dragon who has laired in the North Western area of la Granda Sablo for a very long time. She has been known to have gathered a large group of minions who refer to her as "the Queen of the Desert". A large portion of these minions are known to be Micruroides yuan-ti, as Ocrux has been rumoured to have been in liaison with the snake demon Merrshaulk. Whether or not this is true is left to speculation. Ocrux used to share her lair with her mate Dorigur, with whom she has raised several young. Dorigur however, was murdered during an attack of a mob of adventurers. Ocrux made sure that none of these adventurers made it out of her lair alive. Since the murder of her mate, Ocrux has dialed up the defense of her lair greatly, mainly by gathering a larger group of minions.

Variations & Mutation

There has been a rumour going around over the past decades: Younger dragons of other colours or metals have been coming to Ocrux' lair to seek her protection. Ocrux is among one of the most powerful dragons left in Auricaana, so this would not be entirely irrational. Some others argue however that she has turned to a very odd behavior since the passing of Dorigur: stealing the young of other dragons. There is no proof for either of these theories however.
