A world where fairy tales actually happened. And are retold every generation. At this world's inception, a powerful curse was placed on it. It dictates that all stories must be relived as how they occurred or else everyone a part of the story will vanish completely. Thus, this world has been built to revolve around the curse. Kingdoms, cities, cultures have grown out of whatever their particular stories need. Even when it means kingdoms have to stay in a state of perpetual strife. The consequences of the curse are mostly enough to keep the masses complacent. There have, of course, been some rebels over the years. They always disappear in some way. Surely, it's just the curse...
