Augeron

A place of both veiled history and unpredictable potential, Augeron tends to thrust it's bravest of inhabitants into lives most noteworthy. Most recently, some hapless adventurers accidentally aided in the release of the gods from a centuries-long slumber, returning the stirrings of magic and other unknowns to the world.   Will we learn more of those adventurers' harrowing deeds, or is it time for a new band of heroes to rise to the task? And what task will that be? The possibilities are damn-near endless.   The lands of Aefalis have enjoyed what they understand as peace for some time. The raucous territorial and power disputes of the past were quelled shortly after the forces of magic vanished from the world. The lands of greater Teleria united under the kingdom of house Maartel, and the Rimy Mountains impose a stalwart border between Maartel and Aketonia, the empire to the north. With major disputes at home and to the north being settled, eyes look elsewhere for opportunity.   Through events that only a few know of and fewer understand, magic is once again returning to Augeron. No one has yet even begun to fathom what may unfold from this.   (There's supposed to be more written here, but THE PLAYERS NEED TO WRITE THE HISTORY.
