The Redd Musket

Utility

The Redd Musket is used for either hunting or military defense. The main reason for discovering the Redd Musket was realm defense. However, there are a few incidents of its misuse. One particular incident was when a Water Terran group procured a crate of these muskets, and fired upon the Shax'l for their "unjust persecution" of their peoples.

Manufacturing

The body is carved while the barrel for both variants are made from a single, long bar of steel that stretches 30-inches in length and 4-inches in diameter. Once the body is carved and the barrel is crafted, they're both sent to the city of Longel where the screws and springs were set into the body of the musket. After the barrel is screwed into the body of the musket, the trigger, flintlock, bracket, strap and ramrod are made in Longel, and after all of that is finished, the rifle is complete. The ammunition for the Redd Musket is also manufactured in Longel.

The Redd Resurgence followed their Great-Grandfather's design of the two variants for the new and improved Redd Musket.

Access & Availability

The Redd Musket is readily available for purchase if the purchaser has 5,000 Frol to spare. Most store owners, hunters, guild-barons, Nobles and a few Royals have a Redd Musket in their possession.

Complexity

The Redd Musket has two options for the customer to choose from, the military-barrel or hunting-barrel. The military-barrel gave the purchaser a 14-inch barrel that is spiral-bored for long-range firing. And the hunting-barrel grants the purchaser a 10-inch barrel with a smooth bore barrel.

Discovery

Dimitri Redd began researching a better alternative for the The Svenska Revolver/Redd Blunderbuss, but there was no progress made on His designs. It wasn't until the Redd family came into power again during the Redd Resurgence that they finally had a better design.
