The Draconic History

The Draconic History is a recounting of the creation of the multiverse with a specific focus on the creation of dragonkind.

Summary

Before the beginning, there was Draco the Infinite, whose full name would take more than a universe's age to recite. Draco laid two eggs, a brightly-colored one, and a dark, dull one. From the bright egg hatched Vozehrane Shimmer-wings, and from the dark egg hatched Lotvahmoro the Serpent, and Draco created the universe from their eggshells for them to play in.   Vozehrane made her creations to be beautiful and bright and kind, but Lotvahmoro valued determination, struggle, and strength, and made powerful beings that consumed Vozehrane's beautiful dragons, to her dismay and anger. She complained to Draco, but Draco told her that Draco would not take sides in their play, but her complaints did not end. Eventually, Draco relented, and created for both of them immortal champions to resolve their differences. For Vozehrane, Draco created Mordokhazeshtazirrushu the Adamantine Dragon. For Lotvahmoro, Draco created another, whose name is now lost to time, and is usually referred to as simply Lotvahmoro's Champion.   Vozehrane loved Mordokh, and not just for defending her beautiful creations, but he did not share her affections. He viewed her as frivolous for eschewing strength even as her creations were devoured in exchange for beauty and childish whimsy. After all, he was placed in an impossible situation! Beauty and joy were of course to be cherished, but how can such things be prized even as they are destroyed by all-consuming darkness? Lotvahmoro's Champion loved him, but Lotvahmoro loved no one, and so, spurned, she sought another, and fell into the romances of the Hydra God, with whom Lotvahmoro's champion hatched five eggs, the youngest of which was to later choose the name Tiamatensotidaarivadaskadarastrix, who consumed her siblings and then both her parents, gaining her five heads and her divinity over both evil dragons and hydras.   Vozehrane Shimmer-Wings became the goddess of the faerie dragons, small and weak but beautiful. Mordokh became the progenitor and god of the metallic dragons. Tiamat usurped Lotvahmoro as the goddess of chromatic dragons, as she had become stronger even than he, and they fought until she ripped the wings from his back and sent him fleeing into the shadows, from which the drakes emerged-- dimwitted and flightless, but strong and numerous, with Lotvahmoro as their disgraced deity. Draco remained aloof and uncaring about the trifling goings on of this mere multiverse, god of all yet worshiped by only very few.   According to some versions spread by Lotvahmoro's worshippers, Lotvahmoro became angry with Draco for creating such a powerful champion for his sister but a useless one for him, and blamed him for his diminished status, before biting Draco and putting him to eternal sleep with his deadly venom.
