Superfluus

The Superflui do not participate in society as they are people unable to do anything and have to rely on mercy of the Society. This group includes people chronically ill, disabled, or inept to live according to the Rules of the Society (including criminals). By the Rules of the Society a person cannot be deemed Superfluus due to their age or age-related illnesses (Familiae are required to take care of their elders).
To provide the best accommodation and care for the Superflui, the Society insists on them living together in the well-organized, professionally equipped and staffed asyla on Long Island. The asyla are specialised according to the social disadvantages.
A person can be deemed superfluus only by the court order after a careful medical examination proving that a person cannot participate in the Society. After the examination, interrogation and the trial, the Superfluus is assigned to the asylum. However, they were singular cases when Familia opted for the in-house care (see, Lord Steven de Rogers).

Form of address:

Superflui keep their name as is. In case of the Innomini, the name is changed by the court order as they are banished from the Familia.
