Frogling
Found in wet tropical climates, froglings are generally xenophobic and territorial.
Many froglings take up residence in trees and other high-up shaded locations. However, the first few months of a frogling's life are spent as a tadpoling in a large pool guarded by froglings of the nurture army. They remain here until sprouting legs and gaining enough strength to climb to the canopies of the surrounding trees of the territory.
Frogling society is broken up into groups called armies. Tattooed markings distinguish one group from the next. Most families are made up of one or two different group types, as froglings must find masters to teach them the ways of their prospective army and familial ties are the most common avenue.
Over the generations, froglings have developed the ability to produce a neurotoxin that they carry in their blood. Should one strike a frogling and spill its blood upon themselves, then they may fall victim to its neurotoxin.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Froglings are humanoids with the characteristics of a tree frog. Like the squirrel tree frog (Hyla squirella), froglings have developed a chameleon-like ability to change colors.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Froglings possess an acute sense of taste. This helps them to identify plants and herbs and determine the safety of their consumption. Moreover, they can smell poison well before they might fall victim to it.
