Jynx Blackraven

The great war against the @[Theryl Imperium] has claimed many lives, but one fearless warrior refused to let it claim his. Against overwhelming odds, he survived the onslaught of his enemies and staggered, wounded, through the boughs of the @Forgotten Forest. It is said the creatures of that forest can smell death, and the gleaming eyes of a dire wolf were soon gazing down upon him. After a life of conquest and battle, it seemed certain he would meet his ignominious end at the fangs of this beast. But it was not to be, for as the wolf attacked, a Wood Elf happened by and charmed the creature. She took the warrior in and nursed him back to health. They fell in love and conceived a child that would grow to become Jynx Blackraven.
Jynx's father was shunned by the elves of the forest; his kind were forbidden there. Soon, scouts from the opposing army began to infiltrate the forest, searching for him, and the elves forced him to leave. Her mother chose to go with him, forsaking any hope of ever again being with her people.
The forest was deep in enemy territory, and the couple was under constant pressure not to be caught. Always on the run, they made it to the edge of the Imperium, almost into neutral lands. That's when Jynx decided to come into the world.
Her parents were supposed to meet a member of a secret Thieve's Guild in a bar who had promised to smuggle them to safety, but they were tracked by Imperium scouts when a member of a rival guild betrayed their location. While her mother went into labor while hiding in the storeroom, her father was in the bar, fighting off their pursuers. He was overwhelmed and defeated. At that exact moment, Jynx was born.
The thief who had promised to help the couple was true to his word, and tried to smuggle Jynx and her mother out of a secret exit in the storeroom before the Imperium found her. Her mother, too fatigued from the trauma of childbirth, could not follow, and gave up her child to the thief, who disappeared with Jynx into the night.

The Thief King knew Jynx was special and went to great lengths to keep her elf heritage hidden from others. He and his troupe of capuchin monkeys would perform tricks to attract crowds while Jynx and other young apprentices would pick their pockets. Jynx was drawn to the runt of the troupe, a tiny monkey she named Riu Taki-taki. Riu became her faithful and loyal companion.
Riu Taki-taki is exceptionally small and exceptional at getting into tight places. His hands fit into tight places and he is trained to pick the tiniest, most complex locks. Riu is deathly afraid of being away from Jynx and loves to hang out in her pocket.

When one reaches a certain level in the Thieves' Guild, one can only advance by stealing. The more powerful magic item or artifact one can obtain, the higher in rank they can rise.
Under advisement from the Thief King, Jynx has spent the last few months delving into dungeons in search of items to advance her career. Secretly, she has hopes of surpassing the Thief King himself. She knows she can only do this by obtaining the ultimate score...
