The Great Houses of Farshore

The four Great Houses of Farshore exist in harmony with there being little to no conflict between any of them. As such they are not considered a unitary nation but rather a group of heavily aligned factions that make up a confederacy. These houses are House Saleth Vekest, House Veleth, House Noreska, and House Vithasil. The actual demographic is primarily made up of high elves that fled with Saint Sîláth and the smallest portion of wood elves, the only remaining wood elves not corrupted by Yhagkca.

Public Agenda

The Great Houses of Farshore tend to keep to themselves as they are a relatively new movement of elves that chose to follow the divine prophet, Sîláth, who led hundreds of elves to a land that she, and her followers, would have never been able to learn the whereabouts of through normal means.

History

The Great Houses of Farshore were originally just a group of elves from Iîlth who followed the prophet, Sîláth, whom said that she was told by Terethi that there was a land for her people, and when the majority did not agree to this mission the clergies of Ilisí attempted to lock up Sîláth, who was already long gone. This failed attempt, however, would start a war where Ilisí would attempt multiple naval invasions into Farshore, all of which were unsuccessful. After the natural death of Saint Sîláth, the Sîláthi people would eventually obtain a distinct distaste for the means of which other sects of the culture and would start a war. This war created three of the four houses: House Noreska, House Veleth, and House Saleth Vekest. These three gained their own cultural means of war, but they were always at a standstill. But then a revelation hit those who did not align themselves with any of the houses, and this was to unite the Sîláthi people with the thing that brought them there, religion. This new development would be the birth of the fourth, and debatably most powerful house, House Vithasil. This house would quickly colonise the newly discovered island of Severith that the rest of Farshore surrounded, and from this vantage point the held a treaty between the three other houses and made peace, and since then there have been no wars between the four houses.

Religion

Due to the, arguably, most power Great House of Farshore, House Vithasil, being devoted to the worship of those that Saint Sîláth worshiped (Terethi, Torosiala, and Ssub Teligath) those are the three deities that make up the Farshore pantheon.

Foreign Relations

The Great Houses of Farshore are seen as reclusive due to the exodus of which they did of their own volition. The only group not to harbour this same sentiment is the elven-gnomish joint of Ilisí that wishes to once again assimilate the elven nation back into itself.

Agriculture & Industry

The soil of Farshore is seldom suitable for agricultural purposes, but the Great Houses of Farshore definitely make do as well as they can, ending up with no surplus, but also no scarcity of food

Education

The Great Houses each teach their children a set of curriculum fitting for the Great House the child was born into. Whilst this may cause close mindedness, it also opens the floodgates for an individual who is as efficient as possible in a single mindset.

Infrastructure

The roads that connect the different towns of Farshore are relatively unguarded, allowing for the wildlife and sometimes even hostile people to catch travelers off-guard. Even then, the roads are more akin to vague dirt paths
