Sly Toad

The Sly Toad Inn and Tavern has been serving Pontil's adventuring community since the city was founded. The barkeep is a muscular female half-elf with long blonde hair and a small diamond-shaped birthmark under her right eye. She’s fidgety, rarely able to sit still for longer than a minute or two, and frequently comes across as rude or snippety, but she’s passionate about her city, and she’s surprisingly good at doing impressions.

Purpose / Function

While its primary purpose is just what you'd expect, to serve food and drink and rent rooms to travelers like any inn and tavern, the Sly Toad is also the best place for a prospective adventurer to find work, and a good place to hear rumors and tall tales that might just have a grain of truth to them. Mirian in particular is happy to share the stories of past adventurers with anyone who asks, especially if they buy a drink first.
