Athun River

This river is the lifeblood of the region, the reason settlement in Olmir is able to thrive. Precious stones mined in the town of the same name are shipped down the river on an approximately weekly basis, and its mouth opens onto deep enough waters that Pontil is able to host a deep-water port that can facilitate trade across the world.

Geography

Athun is a gentle river that runs west to east from the Ellades Mountains to the sea. A mining settlement sits near its source in the mountains, and the city Pontil sits at its mouth. It cuts through the Graulen Wood for most of its length, though further downriver more of the area is cleared farmland.
