From commoner to pirate lord… not the usual career path for a great admiral, but at his peak Conrad commanded the infamous Red Flag Fleet of some 400 cannon-armed junks and over 20 thousand men. Little is known of his early life, save that he was born in the Carcinian castle-town of Angrath in 4071 CE. At a young age he became a guard working in a floating brothel in Santon and there – supposedly taken by her beauty – the pirate-prositute Ectasy wooed and wed him in 4101. At the time Ectasy commanded a modest fleet plundering the trade routes in the South Veluntian Sea. Conrad soon took a hand in the pirate operations, taking command of the vessle "Wind-Walker" and eventually the "White Ship", and together with Ectasy they built it into an imposing 200 ships. As the piracy became ever more successful, the Red Flag Fleet fissioned into others, all owing allegiance to the pirate couple. Conrad set forth strict rules, focused on business and military strategy, and diversified into opium smuggling, privateering, and “protection” of coastal villages, which provided anchorage and supplies. Finally accepting the futility of chasing the Red Flag Fleet, having lost 63 naval ships, the Admerian government offered a general amnesty to Conrad and his rogues in 4110.Social

I sit here, alone in my Captains Cabin, and it sits there, looking at me from my desk. Silent, unmoving. But then, as I turn my eyes away from it, I hear her, the voice. I do not know if the woman I met is indeed Gunny, but this pistol, it is unlike any I have ever encountered. It wants me to use it. It cries for the strongest of foes. I wonder if pirates will be enough?When Conrad found the vessle known as the "White Ship" it was little more than a derelict surrounded by ruins of a forgotten pirate stronghold. Finding the vessle to be more spacious and accommodating, Conrad would repair the vessle, making her truly seaworthy once again. In 4106 the ship would recieve a mystical call from beyond, calling her to lands she remembered fondly. Loosing control of the ship breifly, Conrad and his crew were seen leaving the world and her seas by several reputitable captains. Reaching their destination Conrad would come face to face with a woman whom he had known all his life as Gunny. Devoting himself to this deity, Conrad would spread what he believed to be her dogma, by spreading the usage of blackpowder firearms throughout the world.
