Skrypt Krolls

A Skyrpt Kroll is a lizardous creature of prey, of The Sandscape biome on the continent of Estras. As such, they are famously dangerous to any and all who cross paths with them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Skrypt Krolls have 4 forward arms which end in two small claws, similar in style to an average desert scorpion, having also a short fat tail which ends in a spear-head of a poisonous stinger. The skin is thick and armored, not easily pierced by a metal weapon and reflective of the sun's light to keep the creature cool while on the surface of The Scape during the day. Like the common scorpion, Krolls have 6 legs, 3 legs on each side of their body, but these are only used for digging and scooping sand when the Kroll is ready to burrow underground and not for movement more than leverage while tearing apart a victim during feeding. The mobility and speed of Krolls can be attributed to it's odd way of curling up into a tight ball, all legs and claws and face wrapped up inside beneath the outer shell, which utilizes muscles to create a shifting winding pattern like that of a snake to roll itself across desert sands. Krolls, like packs of wolves, hunt in groups of 3 or more, and will decimate an entire troop of soldiers or band of thieves in minutes, sweeping in among them with the agility and speed that the gods gave them.

Genetics and Reproduction

Krolls seem to be hermaphrodites, not needing to mate with a partner to produce offspring, however only a single offspring may be produced by each in their own lifetime.

Ecology and Habitats

Krolls live in the arid desert lands of The Sandscape. They both need and provide little-to-nothing to the ecology of the desert.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Krolls seem to be very sedintary creatures, sleeping for days on end beneath the ground of the desert until the time to feed comes to again, about once every few months.
