Professor Wayan Shuntaro Wrin

Wayan Shuntaro Wrin is considered to be the father of modern Astronasia with his discovery of the practical application of Tiberium.

Personal history

Wayan Shuntaro Wrin was born in the year 1369 AD as first born of a bureaucrat family in the city of Greta. Wayan was a bright young man, constantly spending his time at the city library. While his family wasn't particularly well off they did recognise this young man's talents and sent him of to the local university to study at his 18th birthday: here he studied for seven years until he eventually graduated as a professor in history.
Professor Wrin and his cat eventually found their way to the long taught lost library of Frroep. Inside he decided to steal one of the book from the before Disappearance section while the cat distracted the Tenku guards. The Tenku, after realising that they have been tricked and knowing of the dangers Tiberium holds, concluded that their mission to store information for future use has done more harm than good to Astronasia and cast a ritual that made the sandy waves of the Coarse Sea swallow it whole. They also conclude that the best repayment for the lost of their purpose is the extermination of Wrin's bloodline and the extermination of Cats.
After many nights of studying the book, Professor Wrin managed to translate it. Inside were notes about ways a material called Tiberium could be used in everyday life. After experimenting with a crystal his mother used to wear as an earring, he discovered that Tiberium can be used as an type of conductor for magic. The crystal allows magic to be stored and to be guided to another location, like an machine.

At twentythree Wayan Wrin managed to graduated from the university of Greta as a professor in history.

Employment

After his graduation professor Wrin began to work at the cities archives where he researched and ordered the city's collection of old tomes.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Professor Wrin used the knowledge he learned from the library of Frroep to research and develop Tiberium based technology. He discovered that Tiberium conducts Arcane Mana which it could either store in itself or pass on to other crystals or devices. From this discovery the Tiberium revolution was birthed.

Failures & Embarrassments

The biggest mistake that Wrin ever made in his own eyes was also what gave him his biggest success: Stealing books from Frroep. While it might have given him fame and riches at first it would eventually cost him everything he really held dear. His children, his cats, his brothers and sisters and their children, all had to pay the price for his folly.

Mental Trauma

At the end of his life Wayan Wrin was just a shell of a man. He was constantly paranoid that a Kenku would assassinate him as they did to his brother and eventually locked himself in a room without windows.

Motivation

When Wayan was young he dreamed of fame, glory, and riches and his research on Tiberium granted him his wish, but as his research granted him his wish he began to long to the old days were unknown and less paranoid.

Wrin owned a small cat called Cakar, a black oriental shorthair cat who he brought on all his journeys, including to Frroep which in the end doomed the rest of the worlds felines.
