InterGalactic Council

After the Imperial Pact it is a former shadow of itself as most of its members lost their independence (and representation). It is still respected though as a mediator in various conflicts and provides a common diplomatic ground. It is also indispensable in issuing and maintaining standardisation rules, space rules, various treaties etc. It also (in times of peace at least) coordinates the policing of space.
