Peak of The Ancestors

Peak of The Ancestors
The Peak is what you want to know about? That's a good question. I personally think that the peak is where we go when we die. To join our ancestors in their realm. Come come let me tell you about the Peak's legend.
Long ago in the time when us Draiotcha were still but humble servants of Zantyra. We flew across the skies, made sure that the air was still breathable for the other inhabitants and most importantly, kept the others from throwing away everything they had and going to war with each other.
When it came to times of great urgence, we would meet at the Peak you're asking about, The Peak of The Ancestors. It is said that upon going there, the Caileach Draiotcha's magics are strongest. They can be able to use the sacred rituals without as much of the risk of killing themselves like they regularly do.
The reasoning for this I've never found out, because I am only a Razor Feather, not a high hemomancy practitioner like the Caileach or the Blood Eyes. But anyways back to the real myth. It is said that when in the times of need, the Caileach and Blood Eyes Draiotcha will gather and summon the ancestors to help them with the serious questions. It is said that the Veil between them and us is at the thinnest and that they've actually manifested in the great Stone Henge that is there. While other still doubt that, I like to believe it.
— Razor Feather Draiotcha Tzu-Tzi

Summary

The myth's summary is about a peak where the Draiochta birds believe where their Ancestors can help them the strongest. Where they can show themselves and guide, give the Hemomantic craft that they use a bit more of a boost in times of great need.

Historical Basis

While the Peak is an actual area on the Archpeligo where the Draiochta live, as is the stone henge at the top of it, there has been no proof of the Ancestors showing themselves, for no one other than the Caileach are allowed up there.

Spread

Most of the Draiochta believe the words of the Caileach for they are the ones that communicate with the ancestors the most. Others have put doubt to this theory by going up there and seeing if it is true, but they are stopped on the way and are not allowed through.
The Draiochta usually find out by a declaration of the Taoiseach or through a mass projection by the Caileach, both are effective ways for the Draiochta to learn of the events.

Variations & Mutation

The variations to the myth usually stem from the type of Draiochta. If the Razor Feather tells the myth then it would most likely have Razor Feather Ancestors, like Gogok or Varith, while a Blood Eyes telling the story will show you the full picture. This only happens if the Blood Eyes happens to be a Caileach that has been to the Peak, if not then the Blood Eyes will have the variation in Ancestors. Examples like: Brogot, Gen of Spine Blood, or Orym. Each of the Ancestors have earned their place in the Peak's Stone Henge and are honored by the other Draiochta.

Cultural Reception

Oh you've heard of the birds silly little peak? You have to tell me more about it, I've wondered why they kept it so heavily guarded. Could you imagine the secrets they could be holding up there, maybe with a little bit more wine for them we could find out. What do you say, Kathrie?

I've heard the Ancestors speak to me, through me, I know what we must do to prepare for the Albino's arrival. I know what the Taoiseach must say, when to say it, and who to say it to. I know all for I've been to the Peak. I'm humbled that they gave me their knowledge to pass onto you all. Razor Feather and Blood Eyes alike.
— Caileach Zarya Lov Preaching

In Art

Many pieces of art indicate the Peak of The Ancestors to be a holy ground, as such the peak is painted red. Many tapestries were created of the Ancestors coming down from the Peak and sharing their knowledge to the Caileach, who would then spread the word to Taoiseach and so forth.
