Zann Pelleon
Zann Jeramy Pelleon (January 698 - October 797) was a famed space explorer of the New Terran Republic, notable for discovering nearly a hundred habitable worlds - more than any other explorer in Human history, as well as navigating and mapping a route through the Pelleon Anomaly, allowing for the formation of the Republic of Osheni.
Born on Horizon in 698AC, Pelleon lived his early life through the Great Age of Exploration, where hundreds of explorers made their mark on the galaxy. He became enamoured by the lure of discovery, as many had before him, and when he became old enough he joined whatever expeditions he could find. While at first, he kept to private ventures, eventually the New Terran Republic Navy offered him a place in their exploratory corp, an offer he accepted.
He rose through the ranks quickly, by the time he was 39 he gained command of the TRV Intrepid, a cruiser capable of advanced navigation. Throughout his time, many other explorers had tried to chart the Pelleon Anomaly (then named the Impassable Nebula), Pelleon intended to accomplish what so many others had failed to do.
Using the Intrepid, Pelleon spent several years attempting to chart a way through, eventually finding a semi-safe path, that any ship could use. With the discovery of this route, hundreds perhaps thousands of ships made their way through, in pursuit of new lands, and fame. Pelleon would continue his exploration of the galaxy, finding many habitable worlds, including Avanor. He became the most famous explorer of his time, and died in 797, aged 99.
