Mount Everpeak

Mount Everpeak is a mountain on the planet Geldrane in the 4th Empire of Jerace, that is known for being the tallest mountain in the Galaxy of Astraesto. It is considered one of the most beautiful sights in the galaxy, and attracts millions of tourists to the planet, including from the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets and the Kingdom of Apreas. Scientists theorise that the size of the mountain is due to the planet's low gravity, with two continental plates smashing into each other tens of millions of years ago. 
Below the mountain is a massive lake stretching hundreds of kilometres, with crystal blue water nearly as renowned as the mountain itself. Of course, the rest of the Everpeaks Mountain range roams throughout the area as well, with many other huge mountains that are a treat for tourists.
In the past, Everpeak and its nearby lake have served as military bases for the Imperial Army of Jerace and the Imperial Navy of Jerace. Despite this, both organisations have failed to keep any significant presence in the area for longer than a few years, due to frequent rockslides, and the open area leaving any military forces open to attack.   
Everpeak is internationally protected, and following an agreement between Jerace and the Federation in 4742, no military forces or weapons may be stationed at the mountain. In addition, the entire area has a dedicated police force.
