The Envien Congressional Assembly is a massive building located in Tradara-Reed, Envien on the planet of Envis. It serves as the primary federal governmental building on both Envis, as well as the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets as a whole. The building is one of two meeting points for the legislative branch of the Federation Federal Government alongside the Federal Assembly on Anfieden. Despite the capital of the Federation being Anfieden, the Envien Congressional Assembly sees much more use than than the Federal Assembly.
The construction of the Congressional Assembly first began in 3470, in the wake of the 1st Federation Civil War. The Andisiens wished to curtail the overall power of Anfieden, especially after the Andis Revolt was brutally put down on Anfieden. As such, the Congressional Assembly was constructed, and would serve as the primary meeting place for the Federal Government under the Andisien Bloc. Even with the Andisien Bloc's disbanding, future government administrations continued to primarily meet at the Congressional Assembly, as opposed to the Federal Assembly.
Of all the buildings in the Federation, the Congressional Assembly is one of the most well defended. Congressional Police patrol the entire building, as well as its immediate perimeter. The Federation Armed Forces are also involved in the protection of the building, with a huge no-fly zone, enforced by the Federation Air Force directly above the building. Federation Army and the Federation Navy Marine Corp have rapid response units prepared at all times to respond to any threats to the Assembly, with additional units beyond that prepared to assist. The building has only ever been fully breached once, during a military coup d'etat in 3573.
