Astos - D&D 5e Campaign

The land of Astos is one of stagnation. The people grow fat and dull from the years of peace. Besides small roving bands of goblins or orcs, there is little for the common folk to fear. But on the borders between the kingdoms of man and the great expanse, A great forest of dark twisted trees that grows unnaturally quickly, a string of fortresses and citadels mark the extent of power that the kingdoms hold over nature or the elves that reside within. Feral elves that number in the hundreds of thousands lay within the woods, raiding into the lands of men to capture people and steal any weapons that would be of use to them. To the south of the expanse and to the east of the great citadel of Embergarde lays Hell's hallow, a tear in the planets crust that allows no light to permeate into it or out of it. With the strain the land is under, something has to give and soon it will.
