Kilimor, Chapter 7—Kilimor
Kilimor waited until Buster had taken out the guards outside the keep and gone inside than he went upstairs one story. Kilimor knew that the supplies would be somewhere in the second floor. There was one guard on the second floor and Kilimor waited until he had passed and quickly hit him with the pommel of his sword.
Kilimor did not like killing an opponent who is unaware of your presence. After taking care of that guard Kilimor looked into the first door he could, it happened to be a storage room full of cleaning supplies and other household things.
The second door Kilimor opened was filled with weapons of all different types and they were obviously made from other nationalities. Kilimor looked closer and spotted pieces of armor in the back. There was also a lock lying next to the door that was unlocked.
The third door Kilimor opened had tables and chairs all over and a kitchen in the back. Kilimor could smell food being cooked in the back. He smiled
“Wish I could get some of that stuff,” Kilimor said.
The fourth door Kilimor opened was the guard room. There were over ten guards in that room and Kilimor quickly shut the door very softly hoping that none of the guards noticed his presence.
This hope was quickly dashed when one of the guards said.
“Hey! Who are you!”
Kilimor slammed the door shut then he ran into the cafeteria. He quickly grabbed a chair and leaned it against the door. Just in time because someone slammed against the door just after he released the chair from his hands.
Kilimor looked desperately around the room for anything that could help him beat the overwhelming numbers. He spotted a door in the side of the room.
“That must be the way to the armory,” Kilimor said.
He ran to the door and went in. The cooks who had been oblivious to all that was happening before, noticed that someone was trying to get in and was unable because of a door in the way. The cook casually walked over to the door and took the chair away.
The guards burst through almost knocking the cook over in their hast.
“Where is he!” said one of the guards.
“Where's who?” the cook responded.
“The man who came in here,” the guard said hotly.
“I didn't see anyone,” the cook said.
“There!” another guard said pointing to the door in the back.
“That is the door to the armory!” said another guard, “There is a back door.”
Roughly half of the guards went to the other side of the armory and the rest tried to get this door open.
Kilimor had put the lock that was lying next to the door into the hallway on the door going to the kitchen.
He than escaped through the hallway, and hid in the cleaning room.
The guards came in through the hallway and opened the door to the kitchen. The guards searched the armory thoroughly, and found nothing.
“He has to be somewhere in the castle!” One guard said.
They searched and searched but never found him.
“He must have gone outside the keep,” said the same guard.
Once they had moved back into their lounging area Kilimor crept out and passed the door with all of the guards in it.
Kilimor opened another door much more cautiously and after finding no one inside he swung in open all of the way. Inside was a wagon full of iron. They must have moved it in after making room for it.
Kilimor grabbed the ends of the wagon and pulled it out of the keep. Many of the guards were already lying on the ground unable to fight or hiding, but there were some that decided that Kilimor should not be taking their wagon of iron. I say theirs because that is how they think of it, even though it really is not theirs.
Kilimor dropped the wagon where it was and pulled out his sword. Two guards came at him warily knowing how much devastation Juggernaut had dealt. Kilimor decided that he would attack first and charged at them with his sword out for a quick jab. The guard Kilimor was aiming at deflected it with more ease than Kilimor was used to with regular guards.
The other guard came at Kilimor with a hard right cut that would have sliced Kilimor cleanly in two, had it connected. Kilimor swiped it aside and made a quick jab inside his defenses. The guard toppled down clutching his stomach where he had been stabbed.
The first guard viciously attacked with rage in his eyes. Kilimor was barely able to defend against his unrelenting onslaught. They battled back and forth trading blows, most of which were deflections that did not even penetrate the armor.
Eventually after fighting for a long time the guard began to tire. Kilimor first noticed it when his block did not come up as quickly as before. When Kilimor spotted this he began to press even harder fighting with renewed strength.
Kilimor did not extend so far that the guard had time to make a killing strike but enough so that he could not retaliate. Slowly the guard tired so that Kilimor could kill him, but instead he disarmed the guard.
“You are a very skilled fighter,” Kilimor said, “what is your name?”
“Andorak sir,” The guard said fearfully.
“Well Andorak you have given me a good fight and won my respect,” Kilimor said, “I will not kill you but instead give you advice. Leave this thieving business and use your gifts for good. I will let you think about that. Oh and make sure you leave this castle as soon as possible because it is about to blow up.”
Kilimor walked away leaving the guard who quickly got up and ran out of the castle. Kilimor arrived at the camp with the wagon quite a bit late.
“Where were you!” said Buster, “we almost sent Mouse to see what had happened to you.”
“I got caught up in a fight,” Kilimor said.
“Well anyway, I think it is time to blow this castle up.” He grinned savagely.
“I agree, go for it,” Kilimor said.
Buster pulled out a device and pressed a button on it. The castle blew up with more than just a red explosion. There was green blue purple and many other colors all swirling around in the blazing fire that consumed the castle.
Buster was the head of the fireworks when a celebration was going on and he used his skills here to make a lovely blowing up castle.
After the amazing sight of the castle being blown up they all went back to the city taking turns carrying the wagon. They returned the iron to the smiths who immediately started making better swords and reinforcing the old ones.
Kilimor was just about to go home when a messenger came.
“We just got word that we are going to war against the Order of the Sanctified,” the messanger said, “It seems to line up with what Dronin said about them.”
The End
