The Festival of Shadows

The Festival of Shadows is the Autumn festival held in the middle of Autumn within the month of Navas. It is a celebration of an ancient legend based around the heads of the Five Clans of Equilibria According to the legend five heroes rose up and faced off against the Shadow King, a cruel tyrant who held the people of the city under his sway. These heroes defeated the Shadow King and his minions and brought peace and light and prosperity to the city. Four of these heroes of old went on to become the Patron Divines. During the festival of shadows all businesses within the city are shut down before sunset and those who wish to participate in the Festival get dressed up. The adults dress in dark clothing and carry around treats and small gifts and coins. The children dress in light clothing and run around the city 'defeating' the minions of the Shadow King and receiving rewards from the defeated.
