Willowroot

Demographics

Willowroot's people reflect its founder, often exiles or those without a place to call home it is common to see many different races congregating in the small town. Everything from disowned Tieflings to refugees of other countries, those who are lost seem to find themselves in Willowroot.

Government

As a small town, Willowroot rather than having a central group governing the town opts to have a town council where everyone in the town has a right to voice their opinions on what happens and a majority vote is taken. However, despite Silas refusing to act as the town head most people of Willowroot still see him as such and seek his opinion often. In his place an alderman Irving Crane acts as a village head of sorts but mostly helps to ease tensions and break ties.

Defences

Set deep in the forest Willowroot has many natural defenses that protect it from invaders, it is common for travelers to get lost in the fog covering the forests around the town to the confusion of both the townsfolk and potential visitors who always seem unable to find their way both in and out of the woods.

Industry & Trade

Due to loss of contact with the outside world Willowroot reverted back to a barter system of trade due to the limited amount of Litorian currency

History

After wandering the world Silas Grey would eventually reside in a small valley seemingly removed from the world, while not intending to found a town Silas would go on to save or otherwise garner a small following of people who would later come to reside in the valley themselves. These refugee followers were the first generation of the people of Willowroot who wishing to follow after the man who saved them built a village near the base of his tower and from there the village only grew. After many decades the once tiny village grew into a sizable but small and tightknit town.
