President Jhevora Heimser

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Slender and fit

Body Features

Light skin, with few blemishes or markings.

Facial Features

Well defined, angled and smooth face. Relatively high cheekbones with a thin nose at a steep downward angle.

Identifying Characteristics

Many different types of runes have been tattooed on her body. Runes of fluidity and change run down her arms, so as to allow magical energy to be better conducted throughout her. Runes of speed and agility are placed on her feet and legs, as to allow for quick, tireless movement. Runes of constitution and hardiness are tattooed on her torso, with a two runes of compassion and humility placed on her heart. Runes of peace run up her neck, and on the back of her head a single rune - translating as close as possible to "thought" - is placed.

Special abilities

Heimser is an expert at many kinds of magic, but freeform kinetoshifting magics are her specialty. She is able to shift great masses with little effort and from distances of hundreds of feet away. It is said that she could wrest the moon out of the sky and into her hands if she put her mind to it - of course, considering the implications of doing so, she has not.

Apparel & Accessories

Generally, she wears for everyday activities loose, flowing robes of warm colors, and padded with soft materials, alongside a pair of simple leather boots. During more ceremonial occasions, she wears a gold circlet to mark her status as the President, and may wear more elegant robes made of silk or finely processed wool.

Specialized Equipment

She typically carries a simple poniard on her belt as a precaution, but if necessary any president of the Royal Academy of Coul has equipment and items of boundless proportion at their disposal.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Jhevor Heimser was born to a wealthy elven family, where she spent many years learning skills, trades, and arts. She was eventually elected as the First President of the Royal Academy of Coul.

Education

Heimser was taught by private tutors hired by her wealthy family, learning about history, language, arithmetic, geometry, political sciences, and the arts. Eventually, she learned the practice of magic, learning both rune-directed and freeform magic. She taught herself armed and unarmed combat, as well as the art of runeforging.

Employment

During her life, Heimser spent many years working as a professor and instructor in various institutes across Coul's more urban areas, especially Viercourt. She taught many students the various skills she had learned in her youth, particularly runeforging.   She later worked as a personal tutor to the Third King of Coul during his childhood, as additionally served as an Advisor of the Sciences to the Second Queen. After the construction of the Royal Academy of Coul, she taught there for two years and served on the Council of Professors until she was eventually elected through majority vote to the position of President of the Royal Academy of Coul in 1100. (This was permitted as the regulations requiring professors having taught for 10 years had yet to be formed.)

Accomplishments & Achievements

Throughout her life, Heimser had many achievements, academic and otherwise:
  • Won an 80% majority of the vote from the Council of Professors at the Royal Academy of Coul, being elected as the First President of the Royal Academy of Coul.
  • Was chosen by the Second Queen of Coul as a member of the Advisory of the Sciences.
  • Pioneered several advances in Runeforging, including the art of etching runes of strength in metal undergoing folding in order to increase its stability, a process used often in the Kris as well as many other enchanted magical weapons.
  • Developed several freeform kinetoshift magic techniques still used to this day by mages across Quarasia.

Failures & Embarrassments

During an experimental runeforging procedure meant to test the effects of energetically outbound runes embedded in folded steel, a dangerous artifact was created, though nobody knew it at the time. At the conclusion of the experiment - which had yielded no relevant information - the steel was discarded despite the runes embedded in it and the mana running through it. The steel eventually detonated after being salvaged by a beggar in the streets of Strasvoren, killing the man and causing a small fire. The cause of the detonation was eventually traced back to folded steel, and Heimser found out what she had caused.
