Sea of Flames

Geography

This large predominately hilly area is fully bordered by the Obsidian Craglands, whatever happened here has left most of the ground super heated so any water that once flowed to the area has been dried up for some time. The heat seems to get more intense the further in you go and the ground starting from the Craglands has a slight incline so I'd assume something fell from the heavens leaving a crater and causing the area's heat. Tho even the oldest records of the area have described it as consistently hot and uninhabitable so whatever it is must be extremely powerful.

Fauna & Flora

Some explorers claim that horrible monsters lurk in the lava pits and the deep cracks of the earth, I haven't found any information to confirm this. The only living sample that has been recovered from the site was said to be some kind of flower, it was discovered by The Dragon Lilies. Until I see it for myself I'll just assume this to be a rumor as my contact within the Lilies reported the entire scouting party was wiped out. A few of the names get thrown around every now and then, not sure what to make of it tho.

Natural Resources

None that can be safely gathered at the moment, tho geological samples have been pulled from the Craglands and showed an unusually high concentration of precious metals so there is alot of untapped resources if any of the factions want to expend the manpower. If there was a way to harness the thermal energy of the region and convert it to a power source that could be pretty valuable too.
