Aruneya - The Gods' Playground

"All that is gold does not glitter,   Not all those who wander are lost;   The old that is strong does not wither,   Deep roots are not reached by the frost.     From the ashes a fire shall be woken,   A light from the shadows shall spring;   Renewed shall be blade that was broken,   The crownless again shall be king.”

  • Aruneya – The Gods’ Playground. Not much is known about the history of this world. Many ancient texts and books were destroyed by the numerous wars that harassed the lands. From what little is known about the world comes from the Legend of Creation, which was passed down through generations. The legend says the four gods - Ahras, Khiras, Fahrun and Durnam - created the world and the four races, hoping they would learn to coexist together.   There was peace for a good several hundred years, but it eventually fell apart. The selfish desires of each of the races emerged from the depths of their corrupted souls as they created distrust and hatred between them. It was not long before there was nothing but pure mindless slaughter in the many wars that followed. Countless people lost their lives and it seemed like the bloodshed would never end.   However, that was thought until 200 years ago when the last Great Human King Valentius Taihard united the three human kingdoms and defeated the armies of the mad dwarven king Gildram and the tyrannical elven king Ennesyl, who very nearly drew the races of Aruneya to extinction with their combined military power.   For 200 years there was peace among the nations and it's people prospered. Over the years, the many magical and technological discoveries made by some of the races brought upon great wealth for their people, but it also sowed seeds of greed and jealousy from the neighboring nations.   It was only a matter of time when the flames of war would burn through this world once more…
