Feast of the Red Star

Time

The Feast of the Red Star happens when the red star is visible in the sky. This event happens randomly, but priests are able to predict when it starts. The red star is usually visible two days to two weeks. The celebration starts at sunrise and ends at the sunrise after the last night that the red star can be seen.

Religion

The followers of the Red Pantheon celebrate this festival. It signifies the birth of the first priest of the Red Pantheon, which happened on the first day that the red star was seen. Since the Red Pantheon is worshipped by a small group of people, this event is used to generate the power for the gods of the Red Pantheon to continue having priests and clerics.

Events

Throughout the entire event, guests and followers of the Red Pantheon must wear red sashes around their waists. Additionally, all Red Pantheon priests are not allowed to wear clothes of any color, but red.
On the first day that the red star is visible, all followers of the Red Pantheon must fast and cannot speak. Guests may not eat in front of anyone fasting and can only speak to silent people if it is a life or death situation. Anyone, guests or otherwise, who dies must be left where they died until dawn on the next day.
For the rest of the event, there is a feast prepared in the town square for anyone to eat from. Anyone capable of adding food or drink to the feast is asked to, but not forced.
Different towns have their own festivities and traditions for the feast in addition to the ones listed above. If any of the traditions are broken by a follower of the Red Pantheon, they are excommunicated by the Red Pantheon, themselves. The gods touch the dreams of the offender and mark them with a red third eye to symbolize their lack of respect.
