ady Ulrica is the mother of the huge DeaCool family that lives in Sunshange Cove in Rockdoors. She is a young woman and a young vampire who was fascinated to discover that the stories and prejudices of old about "evil bloodsuckers" are so far away from the truth that is makes the old stories funny.

A gentle yet strong leader

As the wife of a Lord, Ulrica has the responsibilities to rule alongside him over most of the vampires in the country - and all of the ones in Rockdoors. The DeaCool family is the one that pulls the strings on who goes where, does anyone break the laws and attempt to hunt homeless people on the streets to feed and does anyone break other laws that concern not just vampire kind but everyone around them as well.

Helping to train young vampires and introduce them to life in the big city with the rules of behaviour among others, Ulrica always approaches problematic individuals by talking to them in a calming motherly tone. She always attempts to listen and act only after hearing all sides of a problem which makes her the hope of any small crime-committers: they hope she'd just scold them or understand and help them and let them go. However she does have another side for those who simply don't understand the gentle tone or pretend to be "the big deal" - them she would bring to the ground with three moves max without letting them even try and defend themselves.

A talented teacher and loving mother

lrica was robbed of her normal biological life at the gentle age of 23 but until that point she was already a curiosity-driven child who wanted nothing more but to learn and consume knowledge and entertainment in all kinds, forms, shapes and ways. After she was turned into a vampire and dated, and later - married, Lord DeaCool she was able to access his personal library which took seven floors and contained over a million different titles. She spent days in the library and countless nights - practicing different music instruments, sports, hobbies and interests.

When the married couple decided they wanted children they started by adopting three boys, four girls, a dog and a house spirit from an orphanage that burned down in an accidental fire. She immediately began teaching the children all the things she had learned from the books and the time spent perfecting crafts and arts. She loved all the kids - without choosing favorites - and treated them the same ways she treated the underlings that would come to her: first with gentle talk, then with a more stern scolding, always trying to solve problems softly and carefully and only if that wouldn't work - she'd hit them as softly as possible and send them to the dungeon or the attic.

Personal history

Ulrica was born in London to a family who had been struggling to have a child for years. Ever since she could walk she was the type of girl to rebel against the kinds of rules that restrained girls from being themselves and put men on top of the hierarchy. With words, as her mother taught her, she would break up fights and inform teachers of who the real troublemaker i whenever he would attempt to hide. She grew up loved and respected by all girls and young women in their neighbourhood as someone who could read from young age, due to her own curiosity, and would tell stories of men who treat their ladies with gentleness and respect. She was also the one who - with her rebellious nature - created clothes that were easy to take off but still look like the fancy dress pieces they were supposed to wear. Once every week she would gather up her group of friends and they'd go to the public bathrooms and take nice long time to clean themselves.

In 1720 she met another young woman who attracted her interest in a slightly more romantic way than her friends. The two started dating and did so in hiding for two years before Ulrica had to leave for Kaloterra for her studies.

The night of July 17^th 1722

The ship Ulrica had gotten on to transport her to the big continent was attacked by a vampire gang on the night of July 17^th 1722. That gang was looking for a certain object on the ship that was taken from their Master. In the process of looking for the object - when the one responsible for its disappearance from its original owner decided he is not going to give it peacefully - a huge fight broke out expanding its effects on the entirety of the ship. In the fray the young woman became an accidental victim when one of the vampires went berserk and started biting everyone he could see. Technically this killed her that night along with another 12 700 passengers on the "Antonia Grazia". This made the ship the most haunted sailing vessel in the seas of Terra.

Ulrica was turned into a vampire herself when the Master of the hired gang arrived to oversee his men in action. He noticed the young woman laying on the floor of the room his stolen object was discovered and was attracted to her on the spot. He picked her up and ordered the gang to follow him in the ship's lifeboats. As it hadn't been more than six hours between the bite and the Master's arrival he could turn her by cutting her as close to the heart as possible and mixing his blood with hers.

Giving up life in order to live

It surprised the vampire that when she woke up Ulrica accepted the news of what had happened quite easily and quickly. He introduced himself as Lord Nikolaus Eridiane DeaCool - owner and ruler of a demesne in Kaloterra's most beautiful of countries - Bulgaria. He and Ulrica talked about plenty of different things and when his private yacht - the one he used to get to the ship - arrived on land she started considering and changing her ideas of what her life can and will be. Since that first step on land she decided to never contact her family and lover again - to forget them and let them accept that she died on that ship - and to be there for the man who literally saved her life.
