Teachings of the Greatest

Ever since humans walked on Terra there has been some kind of a hero - or leader - or just a stronger one pushing on. All those heroes and leaders with everything they do - even when they don't intent to do it - create lessons for those who come after them. In the beginning the leaders' or the heroes'  companions would share stories of their adventures and even write books about them or sing songs.

However after 870y. a new tradition was created: The hero or leader themselves after taking some time after performing the actions that turned them into such, would think of a way to summarize what is it they've done and what do they want to be remembered from that. They would decide on their own story's moral, analyze and explain their actions - and all that would take place in front of an audience, just like a teacher would teach a lesson to their students.

With time those sessions became something natural and expected - talked around with just as much enthusiasm and joy as a concert or long-awaited movie. The heroes and leaders started being referred to as "special experience teachers" and instead of everyone being able to be present in the place and time of the lecture - only ones selected personally by the leader/hero - would be able to attend in person. Everyone else who wants to soak up the wisdom would have to wait for a recording to be posted on the official website of the respective town.

 

The talks usually happen in public libraries or - if the weather is nice and the town has an outdoors theatre - it will happen in those, using the provided seating and just organizing the recording and list of students coming.

Highly renowned people (and beings) of different walks of life can be invited to teach their ways, motivations, to inspire people and tell those who get inspired by them what main thing they want to be remembered and followed from their adventures and great deeds. 
And while they are not teachers in the traditional sense of the word they do bring even more respect and those of the "heroes" of their fields who agree to lecture young ones are seen with long lasting good impressions. They remain in the hearts of more than the generations before and after them as any lecture or lesson they give is recorded and remembered for centuries after.
