She can't have it because the civil war, although more than 300 years ago, still has effects on especially the elves' trust in the dwarves, also the cup of prosperity has been stolen and there are tensions with Mivian because of it, a war and uncertain harvest are threatening the welfare of Drifeyer.

Her people and especially the people at her court are very dear to her, her mothers, her friendship with Auun and Lerym. She could lose the support of the people, her friends and the peace of Drifeyer.

What past traumas affect current behaviour?
The events of the sixth major civil war, as well as the Magic Wars raging all over Arregeas during that time. Growing up in that climate was incredibly difficult for Ebyerel.

That all her choices have been the wrong ones and that she might push Drifeyer into another war because of it.

Being dethroned.

She cannot allow herself to show any fear in public. To her subjects she is a fearless leader that makes the right decisions and leads with compassion and wisdom. There is no room for fear or weakness.

Her fear of war breaking out, losing control and not being able to keep peace, harmony and prosperity.
What fears are caused by the overall plot problem?
Because the Cup of Prosperity was stolen by Mivian, the fear that harvests will be bad and thus the prosperity of Drifeyer will decline, as well as the fact that if she wants to prevent that, war might break out instead.

Being underestimated and not taken seriously. At the beginning of her reign there was a plot by some dwarves to make her but a puppet and take control of the state because Ebyerel was so young and looked so childlike, but she quickly asserted herself as a force to be reckoned with. However, the reputation of being a puppet is still following her around from time to time.

The way her family, specifically her grandmother used to treat dwarves and bàhyir.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Ebyerel's physical condition is not what it used to be and neither is her mental state. Using magic a lot has put a strain on her physically and mentally and it's slowly wearing her down. The added stress after the disappearance of Yvirra, the Cup of Prosperity, is taking its toll on her too. She often feels tired and worn out and tries to counter act it with exercise.
Body Features
She has the graceful, slim build of pretty much all elves but as is common for sea elves, some of her skin is covered in scales. Hers are blue. She doesn't have many scale spots, one is on her right shoulder, one on her lower back, one on the right inner thigh and on on her left foot.
Facial Features
She has a soft face that looks rather child- or doll-like with big eyes, a small button nose, soft eyebrows, full lips and a lot of freckles. Because of her child-like features she is often underestimated and uses this to her advantage. In serious situations she has a certain look in her eyes that lets her true age and wisdom shimmer through. Seeing it commands respect in pretty much anyone.

Freckles, big eyes that make her look childlike an innocent, a few scale spots (that are usually covered up though).

She can use magic. The special thing about that is that she can mold loose magic in more than one way, which is quite rare and shows her long training in the art of magic and chaos.

Ebyerel has a wide arsenal of dresses in her wardrobe. There are also outfits that feature trousers and armoured parts. Her wardrobe features the signature colours of Drifeyer: turquoise/aqua, dark blue, pearly white, brown leather and silver armour. Grey is also found in her wardrobe usually as an accent colour. Her wardrobe always has to represent elvish and dwarfish culture which results in an array of unique outfits. There are garments that have a more elvish style and garments that spout a more dwarfish style. Ebyerel dresses according to her audience. Usually she wears some kind of head piece, be it a tiara or her full crown or just a special hair accessory.

Personal history
Ebyerel grew up in a time of deep mistrust between elves and dwarves and her grandmother, the then Queen, was fighting and struggling hard for unity but seemingly to no avail. The elves and dwarves had estranged themselves from each other and their peaceful coexistence was once again in danger. Drifeyer had experienced such periods of mistrust and tense relationships between its elvish and dwarfish inhabitants time and time again, it was after all, the only realm where both of them willingly coexisted to that degree. The contrary nature of elves and dwarves had driven a many wedges between the relationship of the two species and only in Drifeyer had coexistence ever been successful.
The conflict during her grandmother's reign, however, had been especially severe and even ended in The Sixth Major Civil War of Drifeyer, that at the end, had been backed by other fractions on either side. The dwarves had received help from Pyktyrr and the elves had received help from Deya. It was all out chaos, no one was even thinking about negotiating and talking to each other and finding a diplomatic solution. The royal family had especially been targeted, as well as the religious leader.
Ebyerel, just so an adult at the time the war broke loose, had been forced to hide with the rest of her family and lived in fear, rightfully so, as the palace was attacked and a large portion of it destroyed by the Dwarf fractions. In the end, Ebyerel's grandmother who had refused to hide and back down, was lost to the war, despite her efforts to calm the situation. Even though her death was a big contribution to what finally ended the war, the violent death of the Queen had lasting impacts on Ebyerel and would later on lead her to avoid conflict and violence at all cost, which is why diplomats have such a high status in her court.
After Ebyerel's grandmother died, Ebyerel's mother took over the throne, even though an extremist group of dwarves was strongly against that and even tried assassinating her. Ebyerel's mother made some fundamental changes to the structure of the government, for example she warranted that the council of advisors needed to have at least 3 dwarves in it at all times, which before wasn't the case and was one of the big points of conflict. There were also a handful of other laws that made dwarves more equal and let them have more political power, which was frowned upon before, because dwarves held the majority of religious power, a force not to be underestimated. Ebyerel's mother therefore managed to build a fragile peace that grew stronger with the years and with new generations.
After an only 180 year long reign, which is regarded as short, Ebyerel's mother retired as the queen and moved to the royal monastery in Anyr, where all retired queens eventually go, unless they explicitly wish to leave the country and never return.
So, Ebyerel came into power at the age of only 256, making her one of the youngest, if not the youngest, monarch to rule Drifeyer. This fact made a lot of people mistrust her and underestimate her and there were many who tried to make her a queen in name only, but Ebyerel was a child of war who had to grow up quickly. She ruthlessly started chipping away at the remaining issues the civil war had left and through her actions received the approval of many. One of her priorities was to build good relations with other nations and to further trade as well as to work out a foundation for the rights of Bàhiyr (half Elf half Dwarf individuals).

She's also an avid magic user, a connoisseur of marine and mountain flora and fauna and she has vast knowledge about the history of her people, both the elves and the dwarves.

Queen of Drifeyer. She is the leader of the elvish-dwarfish Queendom of Drifeyer and next to the religious leader of the country she is the most powerful person there. She makes political and economical decisions, and the trading guilds, head of the army, environment planners and many more all directly report to her and her council.

She has worked hard to unite Drifeyer more and bring elves and dwarves closer together. She also established Drifeyer as one of the most important economical players by regulating passage through Trader's Bay. She is also fighting for more acceptance of the Bàhyir who are, despite the close relationships between elves and dwarves, still stigmatised. International relationships and diplomacy are also crucial to her.

Her other mother went to Anyr with the former Queen so there is again not much of a connection there.
